HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN, SIKAP DAN MEKANISME KOPING ORANGTUA TERHADAP PERILAKU KEKERASAN PADA ANAK USIA PRASEKOLAH DI DESA TEGALSAWAH KECAMATAN KARAWANG TIMUR KABUPATEN KARAWANG TAHUN 2022

Abstract

 Violence against children is all forms of physically and emotionally painful treatment that can be detrimental and affect growth including child development. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge, attitudes and coping mechanisms of parents to violent behavior in preschool-aged children, by looking at the characteristics of age, education, marital status, occupation and average monthly income. This study used a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach with a population of 580 and a sample used as many as 226 people. Test the statistics that Chi Square uses. The results of the study found that there was a significant relationship between people's knowledge and violent behavior in preschoolers with a p-value = 0.001<ɑ (0.05), there was a significant relationship between parental attitudes and violent behavior in preschoolers with a p-value = 0.000<ɑ (0.05), and there was a significant relationship between parental coping mechanisms and violent behavior in preschoolers with a p-value -value = 0.000<ɑ (0.05). So parents are expected in the care not to commit acts of violence, so as to support the development of the child. The family has a very important role in the child's life, the upbringing carried out by the parents is an effort to make a better person, so that the child can grow and develop according to his age stage. This research is also expected to be useful to increase the insight of parents, teachers, thecommunity and the development of educational science in dealing with children's problems
