PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN MENGENAI PROSES PERSALINAN TERHADAP TINGKAT KECEMASAN IBU PRIMIGRAVIDA TRIMESTER III DI DESA TALAGASARI

Background: Anxiety during childbirth does not have a direct impact on death, but it can hinder the birth process. Providing education or counseling is important for primigravidas when experiencing anxiety during pregnancy and childbirth. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of providing health education about the birth process on the anxiety level of third trimester primigravida mothers. Method: The method used is Quasi Experiment with a One group pre-post test design approach. This research was carried out in Talagasari Village in 2022. The sample used was 18 primigravid pregnant women in the third trimester. The instrument used to measure anxiety is the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRS-A) questionnaire. Results: The results of this study show that there is a significant difference between the mean value, before and after the health education intervention with a mean before intervention of 1.06 and a standard deviation of 0.873 to a mean of 0.67 and a standard deviation of 0.686 with a p value = 0.004. Conclusion: So there is an influence of providing health education about the birth process on the anxiety level of third trimester primigravida mothers. It is recommended that health workers always provide health education about the birth process to increase knowledge of primigravida mothers
