Abstract

 Motivation is a human psychological characteristic that gives rise to encouragement or enthusiasm for work from within and from outside. In simple teerms, motivation creeeates enthusiasm and enthusiasm for work so thath work productivity increaaases so motivation is something that is the main thing that drives someone to work. This tyoe of research is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted in the working area of the adiarsa public Health Center with a sample of 42 respondents. Data analysis using chi square. Based on the result of the study, it was found thath most of the respondents had less motivation, 25 respondents (59,5%) and 28 (66,7%). The proportion of woman is more than that of men (90,5% vs, 9,5%), the age of the respondents is 30-39 years (42,5%), the proportion of the last education diploma is 3 (61,9%) the length of work 10-19 yeaars old (47,3%) and most of them are still honorary (52,4%). It can be concluded thath this study has a significant relationship between work motivation on the performance of Health workers (p- Value 0.001) with an OR of 13.4 wich means that the more someone has less motivation, the risk of 13.4 will have less performance. Health centers should pay attention to the work of employees in the form of awards or acknowledgments to their employees so that employees feel more motivated at work, and to health workers who have less performance in order to improve their performance so that the quality of puskesmas services to the community will be better.
